The first major step in this expansion is Project Camellia, a U.S. data center campus spanning 567 hectares—roughly equivalent to 800 football fields. The facility will require a minimum of 3.2 gigawatts of power, nearly matching the entire energy consumption of São Paulo, which uses approximately 3.5 GW. This scale underscores the enormous energy demands of modern AI infrastructure and the challenge of powering next-generation models.
