Starting May 20, Amazon will officially stop supporting the purchase and download of new books on Kindle models released in 2012 or earlier.
If you own one of these legacy devices, here is what you need to know:
- Existing content: Books already downloaded to your device will remain accessible.
- New purchases: You will no longer be able to browse or buy books directly from the device.
- Factory Resets: If you reset your Kindle to factory settings after this date, you will be unable to log back into your Amazon account.
Users are encouraged to sync their libraries and complete any pending downloads before the May deadline to ensure continued access to their digital collections.
