Google Maps has launched a new feature that lets you order food without leaving the app. Using Ask Maps, an AI assistant powered by Gemini, the platform can understand your food requests and help you find dishes, then start orders through partner services like Uber Eats.
The rollout is happening gradually across regions. However, there's no confirmation yet whether the feature will reach Brazil, where Ask Maps itself remains unavailable for many users. The expanded capability represents another way Google is integrating AI into its core products to streamline everyday tasks.
