Brazil's technology sector reached an average monthly salary of 5.6 thousand reais in 2025, marking a 3.8% year-over-year growth. However, this growth is highly uneven across specialties. While data engineering professionals saw their compensation jump by over 20%, those in technical leadership roles experienced a massive surge of more than 30%.
Market dynamics are shifting toward experience, with senior professionals capturing a larger share of development roles as junior positions face a decline. Not all sectors benefited from the salary uptick; software engineering and digital marketing both saw average remuneration drops exceeding 10%.
The data stems from a comprehensive survey of 190 companies across eight Brazilian states, analyzing over 19,000 salary records and 270 specific technology roles.
