Arm is preparing a new generation of mobile chips designed to run AI models locally and deliver PC-level graphics performance on smartphones. The CSS for Mobile 2 architecture features new processors and GPUs capable of delivering up to 85% more performance than the previous generation, while maintaining efficient power consumption.
The technology will be licensed to chip manufacturers, with the first consumer devices based on this architecture expected to hit the market in 2027. This advancement positions mobile devices to handle more demanding workloads natively, reducing reliance on cloud processing for AI tasks and enabling richer gaming experiences directly on phones.
