A startup Operation Bluebird is taking a bold step to reclaim the Twitter brand. They've filed a formal petition with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to cancel the X Corporation's trademarks on the terms "Twitter" and "tweet."
Why? Operation Bluebird argues that these terms have been removed from the platform’s products and marketing materials. If their petition is successful, they plan to launch a new social media platform called Twitter New in 2026.
