Riot Games and Rockstar Implementation of New Digital Rules in Brazil

Riot Games and Rockstar Games have announced significant changes to their operations in Brazil to comply with the new ECA Digital regulations. These measures affect player access and digital sales across the country.

Riot Games Updates Age Restrictions

Riot Games is implementing a ban on minors for most of its titles, with the exception of Valorant. Starting today, accounts belonging to underage users will be suspended. However, all player data will be preserved for future access once the required age is reached.

Rockstar Games Suspends Direct PC Sales

Rockstar Games has halted the sale of digital games through its official PC store in Brazil. Despite this, titles remain available on third-party platforms including Steam, PlayStation Store, and Xbox Store. Industry experts indicate this move will not delay the local launch of GTA 6, currently scheduled for late 2026.

These adjustments ensure both companies remain compliant with Brazilian digital safety laws while maintaining service through alternative distribution channels.
