The affected devices represent 0.1% of all units sold worldwide, approximately 7,000 glasses out of roughly 7 million units EssilorLuxottica had commercialized by the end of 2025. Meta did not disclose the detection methods used to identify the tampered hardware or the technical approach behind the remote disabling.
