GitHub's Ex-CEO Launches Entire: A New Git Hosting Platform for AI Agents

Thomas Dohmke, former CEO of GitHub, has launched Entire, a new Git hosting platform designed specifically for programming agents. The platform aims to reduce dependency on a single hosting provider while enabling developers to mirror both public and private repositories from GitHub.

Entire is engineered to handle significant scale, supporting up to 2.1 million pushes and 570,000 clone operations per hour. This capacity makes it well-suited for the intensive workloads generated by AI-driven development agents that may perform frequent repository interactions and concurrent operations.

The service is currently available only to invited users from a waitlist in the United States, European Union, and Australia. The staged rollout suggests Dohmke is testing the platform's infrastructure and capabilities before a broader release.
