How Experts and the Public View the Future of AI
A recent Stanford University report surveying 8,000 Americans reveals a significant gap between how experts and the general public perceive the impact of Artificial Intelligence over the next two decades.
While industry experts remain highly optimistic about AI's potential benefits, the general public remains skeptical. Key findings include:
- Healthcare: 84% of experts see a positive impact, compared to only 44% of the public.
- The Economy: 69% of experts are optimistic, while only 21% of people share this view.
- Workforce: 73% of experts believe AI will improve work, versus just 23% of the public.
Despite public concerns over job security and data, more than half of all experts surveyed agree that AI tools will drive major positive transformations across society by 2045.
