DuckDuckGo Browser Now Blocks YouTube Ads by Default

DuckDuckGo's browser has added ad-blocking functionality that targets YouTube advertisements, using filter lists maintained by the uBlock Origin community. The feature blocks most ads that appear before and during video playback.

On iOS, Mac, and Windows, ad blocking is enabled by default. Android users can manually enable it through the browser's Settings menu. The implementation leverages community-maintained filter lists, giving DuckDuckGo a practical way to extend privacy protections beyond traditional tracking blockers.
