Brazilian IT Professionals: Top Earners in Latin America

A recent Deel survey analyzed over one million professional contracts across 150 countries, revealing that Brazilian IT experts are the highest-paid in Latin America. According to the "The State of Global Compensation 2025" report, data engineers and scientists in Brazil earn an average of $67,000 annually—about R$360,000 per year or R$30,000 monthly. However, this figure is less than half of what similar roles in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom offer, where annual pay can reach up to $150,000.

The study also highlights another disparity: within Brazil, salaries for sales, marketing, products, and design professionals lag far behind international averages. Deel attributes this inequality to the booming IT sector, driven by the rise of AI, leading to a global surge in valuing tech roles while other fields fall behind. The report suggests hiring Brazilian tech talent as a competitive advantage for companies seeking skilled workers.
