NASA has made telecommunications history by sending an email from Earth to the Artemis II astronauts at a record-breaking distance. The message was transmitted when the spacecraft reached 406,771 kilometers away from our planet.
This achievement marks the furthest person-to-person message ever sent in history. The milestone surpasses the previous record held by the Apollo 13 mission by approximately 6,616 kilometers.
As the Artemis II mission continues to push the boundaries of human spaceflight, this successful communication confirms the robustness of deep-space networking technology required for future lunar exploration.
