Android is making it easier to move between password managers. Users can now import passwords and passkeys directly from one credential manager to another, right within the app.
When you open a password manager that supports the new feature, you'll find an import option. Android automatically detects which other credential managers you have installed and lets you select exactly which passwords and passkeys you want to bring over. This removes the friction of manually exporting and re-entering credentials when you decide to switch services.
The feature is currently available in Google Password Manager, 1Password, Bitwarden, and Dashlane. As more apps adopt this capability, switching between password managers will become even more seamless.
