Project Kuiper, Amazon's satellite internet project, has rebranded as Amazon Leo. This name highlights the network's positioning in the Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) region, where its constellation of 153 satellites currently resides. Ambitiously, Amazon plans to conduct over 80 missions to launch approximately 3,000 spacecraft.
To date, Amazon Leo has completed six launches, including three using SpaceX's Falcon 9 rockets, which successfully deployed 72 satellites into orbit. These developments position Amazon Leo as a significant competitor to Starlink in the race for satellite internet supremacy.
Stay tuned for more updates as Amazon Leo continues to expand its satellite network, revolutionizing global internet connectivity.
