David Hansson, creator of Ruby on Rails and CEO of 37signals, states that AI programming tools don’t yet match most junior programmers. His company remains competitive in productivity without heavy reliance on AI.
Hansson is skeptical of claims that firms can boost efficiency by firing developers and replacing them with AI. For proof, he notes that 95% of code in their new product, Fizzy, was human-written.
