Netflix has officially ended its pursuit of Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) after being outbid by Paramount. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix declined to increase its initial offer, stating the deal is no longer “financially attractive.”
Key details of the bidding war:
- Paramount’s Offer: $31.00 per share.
- Netflix’s Offer: $27.75 per share.
- The Deal Breaker: Paramount has agreed to cover a $2.8 billion termination fee that WBD owes for breaking a previous agreement.
